Term 1 reading challenge

             Today I was reading Before I Die by Jenny Downham
                                                         

I think the title fits the book pretty well. The girl in the text has cancer I like that the girl in the text is doing what she wants to do before her time runs out. The most important part about the text is that Tess has cancer and she is getting sicker as time passes. My favorite character is the main character, Tess and my least favorite character is Zoe. She is Tess's friend but she tries to make Tess do what she wants.

This is a story based on a real cat that picks up rubbish from a school.                           

R2 THE CAT                                              

After a dark stormy and wet day a cat by the name of R2 is on a hunt. Not for birds or mice like other
cats NO!!!!. He is on the hunt for rubbish. Rubbish that the school children have brought to school.
He collects chip bags, glad wrap and plastic. Then brings it back to his mum Kim.

Meow meow meow… “What is it R2? Eww yuck, why did you bring all this rubbish to the house?”
asked Kim. The next day on Saturday morning Kim wakes up to a little hill of rubbish on the floor.
Ice block wrappers, ice block sticks and money all from the sausage sizzle the school held on Friday.
Kim returns the money to the school, and it was the money they made from the sausage sizzle.
This continues for years. Every Saturday Kim wakes up to rubbish on the floor.
R2 is now a 9 year old cat and still collects rubbish from the school, and brings it back to Kim’s house.
